Singing voice messed up?

My singing voice was awesome and I loved to sing loud and soft but then something happened and I can't sing as high any more and my voice just stops... I was wondering if any one can tell me what happened to my voice...and if it is possible to have your voice change if you sing soft too much...just wondering it would help if you could tell me if there is any way to help it.

Maybe it's because you grew up again or something. Dont drink a lot of milk before you sing because it creates phlegm (i dont know how to spell it) and drink lots of water. Try not to cough because it does something to your vocal chords so try to minimize that. The cold also does damage to it.
Reply:did u used to sing every day or way too loud if so, u probably wore out ur voice or maybe u just have a cold. its happened 2 me many times before. dont worry girl that magnificent voice is gonna back. came thru 4 me. one time i was supposed 2 sing solo in a school show, and i lost my singing voice due to a cold, so i took some medicine and to cover up i had to get someone else to sing with me. by the time i got on stage wit my friend i was back to normal but we still sang together.

u just keep ya hopes up. ya vocals ain't gone, they just lost, but they gonna find their way, back. trust me, i been there and i came thru fine. sit back. relax. chillax and max all cool, but u gotta have patience honey. i kno wat im talkin bout.
Reply:Your voice needs to be worked out and strengthened just like the rest of your body. If you slouch all day in a chair your muscles will get used to slouching and give you bad posture. Similarly, if you sing softly too much with incorrect technique, you will train your voice to do this even if you don't want it to. Our voices do change as we get older, even girl's have a "voice break" but less than guys when in their teens.

If you can't sing as high anymore, you could always do some vocal exercises (scales, humming up and down, etc.) to increase your range. And it strengthens your voice.
